Why Use CSS Instead Of Tables

There are extensive arguments to using CSS rather than designing and using tables to layout a website. The main reasons why you should be using Cascading Style Sheets in my opininion are:

   1.

Cascading Style Sheets allow for a flexible fully controllable website, you can modify the layout of a site with one file. This is cost effective in a commercial perspective.
   2.

A website that uses CSS allows you to reduce the amount of core code found in your templates, using CSS instead of tables gives you faster loading websites.
   3.

One of the major plus points to using CSS is for "Accessible" websites. The creation of a website using CSS masters over a table based non user friendly site
   4.

Using CSS you can seperate the layout from the content improving code to content and improving your chances in the search engines

Samsung HMX-U20

The most noticeable feature of the Samsung HMX-U20 is the lens, which makes it look more like a serious piece of photographic equipment than a pocket video camera.

However, this feature has real benefits, like optical zoom, that differentiate the U20 from its brethren and their digital zooms. The effect is quick, smooth zooming that can be accessed during full 1080p recording and doesn’t produce noise or distortion.

The Samsung also impresses with 7.8MP stills, which beats most phone cameras hands down and even gives some digital compacts a run for their money. With all this, the Samsung U20 is a fantastic travel companion.

Footage also looked good, but results were a little noisier than those of the Toshiba and Flip MinoHD. Colours were true and it dealt with changes in light better than any other camera in our test, which harks back to that quality lens.

However, it wasn’t all plain sailing. At times the camera struggled to focus, leaving faces blurry and plunging the camera into confusion for a few seconds. This mostly occurred while shooting in busy places, but the Samsung was the only camera to really suffer. Compared to the way the Kodak and Toshiba dealt with focusing, this was disappointing, and at times made the footage all but unwatchable.

If there’s one way the U20 makes up for this, it’s through price. At £90, the camera is the cheapest in our test for a model capable of producing decent HD footage. However, there’s no memory built in, so the purchase of an 8GB card is necessary, which will bump it up to about £100.

WORLD APPLE BOBBING RECORD SET IN TORONTO AND 2300 APPLES DONATED ...

TORONTO, Feb. 21 /CNW/ - Today, a World Guinness Records™ for the most people simultaneously bobbing for apples was set during the Ontario Apple Growers' (OAG) Winter Apple Ball, honouring the 200th anniversary of the McIntosh apple. In total, 357 apple enthusiasts gathered to participate in the record attempt, while one particular participant stood out from the crowd. In fact, Robb Nelson from Mississauga, not only retrieved all 10 apples from his bucket using only his mouth, but managed to do so at lightning speed in a mere 32 seconds.

"This is unbelievable," says Nelson, "My strategy was to get those apples out of the container as quickly as possible while trying not to inhale any water.  I really wanted that trophy!"  The previous World Record had been set by the At Work/Talent Recruitment team on Saturday, September 25th, 2010 in the United-Kingdom as 277 people set a record for simultaneously bobbing for apples. In addition to the Guinness World Records™ achievement, Canadians gathered to pay homage to the 200th anniversary of one of the country's native apples: the McIntosh.  Set in the Westin Harbour Castle hotel in downtown Toronto, upwards of 1,400 people attired in jeans, tiaras and their favourite party outfits enjoyed the abundance of festivities which included: a dance performance in honour of the McIntosh apple - the McIntosh Mix Up1, fun trivia games, dancing, entertainment, sumptuous apple treats and more.

"It was history in the making as we set a World Record and celebrated the 200th anniversary of the McIntosh apple," says Kelly Ciceran, general manager of OAG. "Our goal was to give back to the local community by hosting a Winter Apple Ball on Family Day.  I'd say that everyone enjoyed the experience and this will be a day these families will remember for a long time."

Although the event was free, each guest was invited to bring one or several Ontario apples, which would in turn be donated to Second Harvest, a charitable organization that feeds those in need.  "We are humbled by the generosity of the attendees today," says Tonia Krauser, director of communications of Second Harvest.  "We managed to collect 1,150 apples from the families who attended, which was matched apple for apple by OAG. In total, we now have 2,300 apples to distribute to the hungry of the city."

About Ontario Apple Growers
The Ontario Apple Growers represents 250 commercial apple growers. There are about 16,000 acres of apples produced in Ontario. The major apple-producing areas in Ontario are along the shores of Lake Ontario, Lake Erie, Lake Huron and Georgian Bay. For more information, visit www.onapples.com.

About Second Harvest
Second Harvest is a charitable organization that takes a common-sense approach to hunger. For the past 25 years Second Harvest has been picking up donated, perishable food, which would otherwise go to waste, and delivering that food to over 200 social service agencies in Toronto. Recognized for efficiency and impact of services, independent research group Charity Intelligence Canada named Second Harvest a Ci Recommended Charity in 2009. The organization recently received a 'Grade A' from MoneySense magazine.

There is a wide range of software systems

There is a wide range of software systems, such as ANSI C servlets, Java Server Pages (JSP), the PHP, Perl and python programming languages, ASP.NET, Active Server Pages (ASP), YUMA and ColdFusion (CFML) that are available to generate dynamic web systems and dynamic sites. Sites may also include content that is retrieved from one or more databases or by using XML-based technologies such as RSS.

Static content may also be dynamically generated either periodically, or if certain conditions for regeneration occur (cached) in order to avoid the performance loss of initiating the dynamic engine on a per-user or per-connection basis.

Plug ins are available to expand the features and abilities of web browsers, which use them to show active content, such as Microsoft Silverlight, Adobe Flash, Adobe Shockwave or applets written in Java. Dynamic HTML also provides for user interactivity and realtime element updating within web pages (i.e., pages don't have to be loaded or reloaded to effect any changes), mainly using the Document Object Model (DOM) and JavaScript, support which is built-in to most modern web browsers.

Turning a website into an income source is a common practice for web developers and website owners. There are several methods for creating a website business which fall into two broad categories, as defined below.

Godaddyblog

Go Daddy is an Internet domain registrar and Web hosting company that also sells e-business related software and services. In 2010, it reached more than 45 million domain names under management.[1][2] GoDaddy is currently the largest ICANN-accredited registrar in the world, and is four times the size of its closest competitor.[1][3]

Known for its racy marketing, Go Daddy started advertising in the Super Bowl in 2005. Since then, the company expanded its marketing to include sports sponsorships.[4][5]

Go Daddy filed for an IPO in 2006, but later cancelled it, due to "market uncertainties."[6]
